The Network Construction Operations (Gas) scheme is an evidence-based skills scheme that provides industry and individual employers with assurance of the skills, knowledge and understanding required to perform various tasks and duties on the gas networks. The registration categories reflect the different roles across the networks.
These qualifications cover all aspects of Gas and Water network construction. They were designed by industry and cover technical skills in areas such as excavating, electrofusion welding, operating tools and machinery and installation, while maintaining safety standards.
These are for network operatives and engineers already employed on the gas and water distribution networks, either directly with an asset owner or through an outsourced operations company
